It&#8217;s because getting a video from your Mac to your TV isn&#8217;t really convenient.\u00a0You either have to use USB flash drives or deal with configurations and network streaming. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npdgroupblog.com\/internet-connected-tvs-are-used-to-watch-tv-and-thats-about-all\/\">Recent studies confirm<\/a>\u00a0our experience with Smart TVs.\u00a0Watching a video shouldn&#8217;t be that hard. So we built an app, it&#8217;s called SofaPlay.<\/p>\n<p>SofaPlay allows you to play media files directly from your Mac on the tv. It is designed to take the friction out of media streaming and connects your Mac to your Smart TV. Just drag any media file onto SofaPlay and it will appear instantly on the big screen in front of you. No configuration needed, no hassle. Just drag and drop.<\/p>\n<p>Your Mac is completely controlling and managing your TV and takes care of the streaming. Just lean back on your sofa, get some pop-corn and enjoy a movie, or two.<\/p>\n<p>We are using an industry standard called UPnP Digital Media Renderer (DMR) to make SofaPlay do it&#8217;s magic.
