Privacy Policy

This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on HighLVL’s website and our apps for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV and any other devices and platforms. We process your data on the basis of the Austrian legal regulations DSGVO and TKG 2003.

What does "processing data" mean?

Processing data means collecting, storing, using, sharing and deleting your information.

Security

We use HTTPS to secure the communication between you and our servers. Our apps as well as our websites require HTTPS. We do not store passwords.

General data and information

We collect general data and information when someone visits our website. This information is stored in log files on the server. This data may contain:

• browser types and versions
• the operating system
• the address of the previous web page from which a link to the currently requested page was followed (referrer)
• date and time of access
• internet protocol address (IP address)

Personal data

Personal data is information that can identify you. This includes contact details when you write to us or contact us online (e.g. name, postal address, email address and phone number).

Cookies

We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files stored by your browser that allow us to recognize our website users.

CloudKit and iCloud

MiniCast uses Apple CloudKit to sync data between your Apple devices (iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch). Your data is stored in a private database, which is encrypted with an account-based key. Therefore, we do not have access to any data stored in your iCloud account. We also do not have access to your Apple ID - only a unique identifier that is scoped to just our app. It is not possible to track your identity between apps with this identifier.

🔒 Revoke access / Delete data: You can revoke access to iCloud and delete all your data in the iOS Settings app on your iOS device. Note, that you can't transfer episodes to your Apple Watch without CloudKit.

E-Mail and communication

Our website and our apps contain information that enables you to contact us via e-mail. If you contact us via E-Mail, the transmitted personal data is stored.

Third-party links and content

Our Apps can display links and content from third-party sites and providers. Additionally, our website contains links to third-party websites. These have their own privacy policies, and we have no responsibility or liability for their content or activities.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to gather information about how users use our website and other statistical purposes. This includes information about your use of our websites, details of your visits, pages viewed and resources you access. Google Analytics uses cookies to gather this information and the information is usually stored on Google’s services in the USA.

Your data is not used to track you between websites.

User-level and event-level data stored by Google Analytics is automatically deleted after 14 months.

Fabric Answers and Crashlytics

Answers

We use Answers from Google to gather information about how users use our apps. For more information visit Answers’ privacy policy: https://answers.io/privacy.html

Personal Data collected:

• Installation UUID (see: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/uikit/uidevice/1620059-identifierforvendor)

You IP address will not be tracked from Answers.

Data retention: Answers retains identifier data for 180 days.

🔒 Opt-out: If Answers is used in the app, you can opt out of tracking by disabling "Share Diagnostics and Usage Data" in the iOS Settings app (iOS, tvOS) or by disabling "Share Diagnostics and Usage Data" in the app settings (macOS)

Crashlytics

We use Crashlytics from Fabric/Google to report when our apps crash on your device. This helps us to fix the causes of these crashes. Crashlytics does collect this information via their SKD. For more information visit Crashlytics’ privacy policy: http://try.crashlytics.com/terms/

• Crash traces

You IP address will not be tracked from Crashlytics.

Retention: Crash traces and their associated identifiers are kept for 90 days.

Your Rights

• You have the right to obtain the confirmation as to whether or not personal data of you is being processed.
• You have the right to obtain information about your stored personal data and a copy of this information.
• You have the right to rectification of inaccurate personal data and to erase personal data as long as we are not required by law to store the data.
• You have the right to withdraw your consent to processing of your personal data at any time.
• You have the right to object to processing of your data.
• You have the right to data portability.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can contact the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the data protection authority (= Datenschutzbehörde).

Sharing your data

We do not share or sell your data to third parties except those mentioned in this privacy policy.
